This knife has a long history.The name Zuava comes from an old Napoleonic military department, known as the Zouaves, that probably had a similar blade, which is still defined as French blade. This sturdy, easy to handle knife was used for all kinds of purposes, from hunting and skinning animals to working in the fields or at home.
