HISTORY

This knife is part of Neapolitan traditions and features some of the main characteristics of the famous Maremmano knife. In fact, according to old descriptions of this knife, it was deemed suitable for cutting and for piercing. It is not clear which one became the benchmark, but the Scarperia model, which can be seen in many catalogues from the late nineteenth century, tended to be very slim and sleek. It has an ox horn handle with a simple spring mechanism and a single panel blade with a false edge.
